Dr. Michelle Peris talks about burnout from the perspective of the book with the same name (Burnout; link below) written by Emily Nagoski, Ph.D., and Amelia Nagoski, Ph.D. The book discusses aspects of burnout in women in today’s world. The book explores concepts of burnout for women who feel overwhelmed and exhausted at doing everything, but are still worried that they are not doing enough.

Michelle discusses how women can deal with the day-to-day activities during the different stages of their cycle in order to sync with their best selves at the right time during the four phases of their cycle. 

She also discusses how burnout can affect your circadian rhythm as stress can throw off your physiology triggering your body to think that it is not safe which can cause responses such as lack of sleep, unsuccessful workouts, weight gain, etc. The feeling of burnout can throw off your body from functioning properly.
